Priming is an important step in makeup and it is a crucial when you have mature skin. That’s because primer creates a canvas for your makeup and allows for better makeup results. I’d like to review the Stila One Step Correct Primer Review and explain why I love it and include some reasons why it may or may not be for you!

There is no other product quite like this one on the market as far as I am aware. It has a groundbreaking triple swirl effect pigment, which primes, brightens, smooths, nourishes and colour corrects the skin. It really does create a dewy flawless base for foundation.
What makes this primer so good?
There are three colours in the swirl. These include;
- Peach to target dark spots such as sun spots and dark freckles.
- Green to calm any redness and pigmentations and
- Lilac to help target sallow areas.
All of these help to even out the complexion so is good for those who have redness, prone to spots and flushing or have pigmentation.
For me, this primer smooths out my complexion and I really found that it hydrated and helped control the oil I get around my nose and forehead.
What are the key ingredients?
Stila One Step Correct Primer is Supercharged with their proprietary Youth Revival Bio-Available Mineral Complex, which is said to help hydrate, control oil, and diminish the appearance of pores and fine lines.
That’s why I love it for a product for mature skin, because not only does it work as any good primer would, but has the added benefits of reducing the appearance of fine lines but also has the colour correct affect, so often an issue with sun damaged and pigmented skin- a common issue for older women.
What is the coverage like?
I personally need to use foundation after the primer, although some women love to use it on it’s own. My recommendation would be to use it under your foundation. The coverage is light on the skin.
Is it suitable for vegans?
The Stila One Step Correct is 100 percent cruelty free and certified by PETA, however it is not suitable for Vegans.
- Colour correcting
- Great for mature skin due to reducing fine lines and evens out the skin tone
- good for all skin types
- helps to close pores
- not suitable for vegans
- more expensive than other mainstream primers
- no SPF
This would be my recommendation for a primer for anyone over the age of 35. It ticks all the boxes in terms of what maturing skin needs in one bottle. In that respect I feel its pretty good value for money.
